Three Great New Subdivisions in Strathcona County


As lots in the city and surrounding areas keep shrinking in size, it doesn’t leave many options for people looking for a little more space to call their own. A backyard big enough for the kids to run around and play in, or a triple car garage to hold your toys or an extra vehicle are not options in a 28 foot building pocket.

There are three newer subdivisions just outside of Sherwood Park that are gorgeous and offer lots with enough space to give you the options of these little extras, but not too big to be overwhelming.

The Grange Country Estates is located on the southeast corner of Wye Road and Range Road 223. It’s less than a 5 minute drive east of Highway 21. It has 50 lots ranging from 1/2 to 1 acre in size. Most of the frontages are well over 80 feet wide giving you a great building pocket to design a beautiful elevation.

More than half of the lots in The Grange are sold and the remaining lots range from $330,000 to $375,000 plus GST.

Meadow Hawk Estates is located just south of Wye Road in Sherwood Park on Range Road 233 (which turns into Cloverbar Rd north of Wye). It is as close to city living as you can get while living in the country. It is literally a short walk away from a grocery store and a Tim Hortons.

Lot sizes range from .3 of an acre all the way up to 1.7 acres and range in price from $329,000 to $499,000. While most lots here are not quite as big as The Grange, they still offer a good size building pocket with room to design a beautiful custom home, a triple garage or bigger and plenty of yard space. About half of the 60 lots in Meadow Hawk are currently sold.

Another up and coming subdivision is located in Ardrossan. Ardrossan Estates is located just off Main Street, right behind the two schools on Range Road 222. They offer 1/3 acre lots and up to a 56 foot building pocket. Services are just going in now, but lots, which range from $261,000 to $286,000 are available to put on hold with a deposit and will be ready to build on by the end of October or early November 2014.

    Visst har du rätt i det Sofia, men detta var inte en bitolycka, det här var något helt annat. Jag har haft hund av olika raser i 26 år även omplacerade och blivit biten några gånger av rädda/osäkra hundar. det som hände här har en helt annan dimension, detta var en attack för att döda/nedlägga byte. och kvinnan har mycket väl kunnat bli ihjälbiten.
